Ice Age Safety vs. Internet Safety

Yikes! Roaming around during the Ice Age plains was a lot safer! If a mammoth was going to stomp you, you saw it coming and could duck out of the way, not so with the Internet. I thought I'd be fine with spear phishing, but it wasn't the type of fishing I thought it was. Oh well! This week learned about the types of various types of social engineering attacks, response and precautions you should take.

After this week, I can safely face the Nigerian scams and the other Internet threats with the same confidence I did the Ice Age ones.

  6. I love the little imagination you used for your post, scamming is so easy and hard at the same time these days. It's easier for tech-savvy people who understand scams from a mile away. But with other people, usually, elderly or really young kids, don't understand scams as simple as pretending to be a family member or even when ai comes into play getting better and better at scams every day taking advantage of the empathy we have for one another.

  7. Thanks for bringing me back to the Ice Age to indulge myself in internet safety! I wouldn't live against a mammoth to be really honest. But after learning about Internet safety, I would fare better against a cyber attack than a mammoth.

  8. Hey Don, like others are saying I enjoyed the imagination you brought with this. Also like you said, it can be a bit challenged trying to encrypt certain scams with the internet.
